Vineyard Monitoring and Management

STRIVING FOR UNIFORM HEALTHY HIGH YIELD CROPS
Precision Vitaculture using NDVI delivering wine makers
Value and Efficiency
Using our state of the art Multispectral Drone technology
we are able to precision map your vineyard, producing results far beyond what the human eye can pick up
This multispectral imagery is used to efficiently monitor your vine health giving you early disease detection and accurate plant health assessment
We can quickly and accurately map stressed areas of vines enabling you to make swift management decisions which have a direct reflection on your overall crop yield
We are ultimately looking to highlight poorer low vigor areas so we can manage these accordingly which will ultimately give you a healthier and more even crop
The bottom line is we Strive to Achieve Higher more Uniform Yields!

How it Works
Our drone is equipped with Green, Red, Red Edge, and Near Infrared sensors which capture the reflectance of their corresponding wavelength of light.
Plants typically have a high reflectance or Near Infrared (NIR) which can't be seen by the human eye, but is accurately picked up by the drone
These sensors support the NDVI, GNDVI, and NDRE vegetation indexes to provide growers with vital information.
NDVI: Makes it possible to detect plants under stress, differentiate between crops, and determine at which stage they are in their growing cycle.
NDRE: Provides insights on chlorophyll content in leaves.
GNDVI: Useful for estimating photosynthetic activity, as well as water and nitrogen content in the plant canopy.

Extracting Value
Using this information we are able make a lot of different decisions
First on the list is assessing Pant Health
We are able to detect disease like Powdery Mildew and plant stress well before the human eye which is key for early prevention and management
From here we are able to create prescription variable rate application maps for chemical and fertiliser, saving time and money
All this combines to help us achieve our goals of growing more uniform crops to ultimately achieve better more even yields
Berry Sampling
The NDVI image is an excellent tool to design quality sampling zones based upon the NDVI classifications. The winemaker will quickly determine differences between NDVI colour classes in terms of sugar levels, taste qualities, cluster size, etc. The colour classes will then give a good estimate of fruit distribution within each class.
