Is drone spraying legal in New Zealand?
Yes. Commercial drone spraying in New Zealand is regulated under CAA Part 102. KC Drone Solutions operates under Part 102 certification, so every spraying, spreading and lifting job is fully compliant and insured.
How does drone spraying compare to traditional ground or helicopter spraying?
Drones leave no wheel tracks or crop compaction, can access steep, wet or hard-to-reach ground, and apply chemical more precisely than blanket ground spraying — often at a fraction of helicopter hire cost.
What can XAG drones spray or spread in one load?
Depending on the platform, XAG drones carry 40–80L liquid tanks or spreader hoppers moving up to 280kg of granular product per minute, with spray widths up to 10 metres per pass. See the full XAG range for platform-by-platform specs.
What is drone lifting and how much weight can it carry?
Drone lifting uses a heavy-lift drone carrying loads on a sling line with a smart auto-release hook. Our XAG P150 Max with RevoSling module can lift up to 80kg on a line of up to 15 metres, offering a faster alternative to scaffolding or crane hire for suitable loads.
